2006 Girls
The North Park Matrix G2006 team has been in existence since 2017 and many of the players on that first team are still playing with us today. In the Fall 2022 season, we played in Flight 1 of the SOCAL League and finished 5-3-2, good for 3rd place. We intend to play up to the NPL in Fall 2023. Though we play in the 2006 age group, we have players from birth years 2006, 2007 and 2008 on the team.
On the pitch, our goal is to win, always, but I believe player development and enjoyment from playing the game are the most important aspects regardless of age and level of play. We play possession-style soccer with an emphasis on playing out of the back. We have a free-flowing attack-minded team and game plan. Off the pitch, we have built a positive, team-first culture that will benefit the girls in all aspects of life.

I played soccer in High School but was more of a basketball player than anything (hence my love for futsal). After college, I was a competitive trail runner and cyclist. I have my USSF D License and several other developmental pieces of training under my belt, including a one-year coaching mentorship at Football Coaching Evaluation. I have more than 7 years of club-level coaching experience and I am The JV Head Coach at San Diego High School and Assistant Coach in the Varsity Program.
