The staff for B2011 are: Niles Armstrong (Head Coach); Rolf Hains (Assistant Coach); Conor Smith (Team Manager).
Coach Niles grew up in Maryland. As a military spouse, he moved to San Diego in 2017 and began coaching football shortly afterwards. Niles has been a head coach with North Park AYSO since 2018. He coached U8s in 2018. In 2019, he coached his U10 team to an undefeated regular season, and won the AYSO Area R BU10 tournament. He also coached the BU10 all-stars that season, winning the Area R tournament and were finalists at the Section 11 tournament. In 2021, he became the first head coach for the B2011 team. Over these seasons, his teams have a collective record of 60-1-9.
Coach Niles holds a US Soccer D License. Coach Niles believes that the child is more than a player. He encourages the well rounded development of his players and is just as excited for them to share their school experiences or talk about a piano recital as he is to see them score a goal on the pitch. On the the pitch, he emphasizes team above the individual. His ideal player is one that is willing to play good defense no matter their position on the field, be the first to loose balls, and put himself in a position to help his teammates.
When not involved with the team, Coach Niles likes to travel with his family, go backpacking, fishing, and golfing.
